New Wonderbags for Jozi Housing Pre-school

Tiny Toons, a pre-school in Jozi Housing’s 24 Building in Joburg’s Berea area, recently received two large Wonderbags and one catering bag from the development’s CEO, Nic Barnes. The bags were gratefully received by principal, Shana Minton, following a cooking demonstration and meal prepared by the Jozi Housing Wonderpreneurs.

The Wonderbag is a non-electric portable slow cooker that continues to cook food, which has been brought to the boil and then placed in a Wonderbag, through the science of heat retention. It keeps food piping hot for up to 12 hours without the use of additional electricity or fuel.

Minto said, “We have a 130 hungry kids to feed every day and these bags will help us provide them with a nutritious meal. The fuel and water savings will also give us much needed additional revenue as well as free up more hands to assist with looking after the kids.”

Wonderbag and Jozi Housing are working together to ensure the benefits of the revolutionary Wonderbag are easily available and understood by the tenants of Jozi Housing. This is done through regular Wonderfeasts and activations.

Jozi Housing specializes in providing affordable residential accommodation for rent to the families of Johannesburg’s inner city.
