Known by her family and friends (and she believes this includes her work colleagues and clients) as the human version of the Energiser Bunny, Janna’s passion for what she does is fuelled by her boundless energy and positivity. Since having started working with Sarah and Wonderbag over four years ago to create awareness and build brand love for the ingenious cooking tool in South Africa - Janna is proud to be associated with this proudly South African product that has real potential to affect change in the world. Janna has played a key role over the years in building a brand that has both local and international acclaim by shining a spotlight on Sarah’s story about the Wonderbag. "The Wonderbag is more than just a client or product on our books…it’s a real passion project and we have loved being part of all the ups and downs over the years, which has made getting to this exciting tipping point on the journey so rewarding,” she gushes.

As Owner and Director of the dynamic one-stop communications company, Promote Communication, Janna Strang’s 17-year love affair with PR and Communications started with a three-year media and communications degree at UCT, followed by six years of copywriting in the creative departments of various local and International Advertising Agencies in Cape Town, South Africa and Dublin, Ireland. Thereafter Janna returned to her hometown of Durban, working in management at a top Durban-based Public Relations Agency for two years, where she established invaluable relationships with local South African and international media and further honed her writing skills.

Drawing on Janna’s past experience and passion for marketing, advertising, PR and eventing, she started PRomote Communication with the single-minded purpose of offering holistic communication solutions to meet clients’ needs. Since the company started in 2012, the PRomote Communication team has never looked back, and neither has their growing number of preferred clients and partners that includes the likes of Illovo Sugar SA, NIVEA, Transnet Port Terminals, Nouwens Carpets, ProbiLife and Adcock Ingram among others. Helping clients that are considered ‘big’ and ‘small’ across a broad spectrum of industries and markets is what keeps the team on their toes and at the top of most media’s list for access to great content.
